"Business Travel Leadership with Vision"

St. Louis Business Travel Association

Founded in 1987, the St. Louis Business Travel Association provides an important forum for the exchange of information, education and ideas among its members, who include representatives from local corporations and leading travel industry suppliers. Our emphasis is on working together to better understanding new and emerging travel management practices.

The STLBTA is committed to enhancing the travel profession by sponsoring educational and informational programs for its members, and by providing top-rated speakers to address travel-related issues, concerns and current "hot topic" items. The STLBTA is an excellent venue for the sharing of travel-related information and professional expertise, and is an organization focused on perfecting the science of business travel management.

National Business Travel Association

STLBTA is an affiliation of the National Business Travel Association (NBTA), whose members represent major corporations and travel suppliers throughout the United States. Along with STLBTA, the national organization provides members with information on the latest technical and service advantages within the industry, as well as current legislative issues involving travel costs and safety matters affecting business travel.

This year's NBTA Conference will be held in Boston, MA. Begining July 22nd, 2007, thousands of travel managers and suppliers will meet for four days and will be offered an incredible networking and educational experience. Information about the conference may be obtained by clicking on the NBTA link above.

NBTA offers members a number of different avenues in which to learn about the travel industry. They include:

NetSmart™ - a web-based distance learning and educational program that allows NBTA Members and Chapter Members to participate in a live interactive forum on business travel industry issues and simultaneously view presentations

The Global Leadership Program is a master's level executive education program developed by the Institute of Business Travel Management (IBTM) in conjunction with The Wharton School.  It is the only master's level accredited course offered within the business travel industry, and is designed to build upon NBTA's Certified Corporate Travel Executive (CCTE) program.

The NBTA Global Travel Management Exchange Forums (GTMEFs) are small, highly-focused discussion groups where global travel managers can meet with their peers and explore global travel management topics in-depth.
