See, compare and buy the core components of an airline trip in the same transaction

The U.S. Department of Transportation has published a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking for airline passenger protections that include the issue of requiring airlines to provide travel management companies with ancillary fee data so that travelers can see, compare, and buy the core components of an airline trip in the same transaction.  They need your feedback.  Click here for more details and a link to the survey.

Our Programs Director, Lisa McCord, has regretfully resigned her position on the Board of Directors due to time constraints/changes with her job. While we understand the difficult decision Lisa had to make, we want her to know the entire organization owes Lisa their gratitude and appreciation for the efforts and strides made to produce chapter meetings focused on quality educational topics for our members.   Lisa is not leaving STLBTA but will remain a member attending as many of our events as she can.

At the most recent Board of Directors meeting a new Programs Director was nominated and approved to fill in the remaining tenure. Please congratulate Mattie Stricker on her appointment as the new Programs Director and to the Board of Directors of STLBTA.   As the Travel Coordinator for Air Evac, she wears many hats managing travel for over 2500 employees over 15 states, arranging conferences, new employee training, reporting, and more. Her responsibility for rate negotiations along with her experience will only enhance her role on the Board of Directors and as the Programs Director. Don’t hesitate to welcome Mattie to her new role with STLBTA.
