Jim McMullan has happily worked in the travel business for more than 20 years.  His initial career began with TWA, Maritz Travel Company and American Express.
HIs St. Louis based career culminated with Jim becoming the travel manager for Monsanto in 2002 where he enjoyed a successful 9 year run.  Jim was hired as the first travel manager for Research Triangle Institute in N. Carolina in November of 2010.
Jim joined STLBTA while at Monsanto, he saw it as a great networking opportunity.  He soon became the chapter’s Treasurer and then chapter President.  Not happy to leave well enough alone, Jim became NBTA Chapter Presidents’ Council president and represented all 40 NBTA chapters.  During his two years in this role he began chapter standardization.
Following his tenure as CPC President, Jim was elected NBTA Vice President.  During his two years on the board, Jim was the Committee liaison to the national board.
Because of his extensive GBTA (formerly NBTA) experience, Jim ran for GBTA president in 2011 and was elected by a landslide.  Now in his fifth year on the board, Jim is using his experience and insight to cement the globalization that developed under his 3 predecessor presidents.
